What is Butane?
Butane is a pure hydrocarbon gaseous compound at room temperature. It is alkane derived from natural gas, it has carbon atoms (CH3CH2CH2CH3 or C4H10). It is also colorless and odorless. It is not a synthesized product. It is produced, along with hundreds of other hydrocarbon compounds, from the fractional distillation of Crude Oils.
There are branched and unbranched butane chains - In normal butane (also called n -butane), the four carbon atoms are joining in continous, but in unbranched chain - thee of the carbons atoms joined to the fourth, by single bonds. The energy of butane is 27.76 MJ/L. Although its rated as "F+" (Highly flammable), because it is under very high pressure it is very safe.
Why Butane fuel?
Butane fuel is clean burning and it has high heating values. Commercially its referred as LPG. Used correctly Butane is 100% safe, it is future fuel. It is is reasonably priced, its perfect for cigarette lighters, camping and many other purposes. Butane lighter fluid doesn’t not give off the not pleased odor, which all lighters that use traditional lighter fluid does have it.
Where I can use Butane fuel?
Butane fuel is used everywhere, for example its perfect for Cigarette lighters, camping gas lanterns, cooking equipment that is designed for camping, picnic-ing and for many other heating purposes. How much does butane cost? Top end products can cost few hundred dollars, but we have found products that have same quality for a lot lower price.
