Dave Bares It All For The Climate

Novembre 21, 2009 | Climate Change, Eco Friendly, Eco News, Eco Opportunity, Gas

This is Dave.

He wants to talk to you about F-gases.

In the greenhouse gas family F-gases - or HFCs - are like carbon dioxide’s much bigger, much scarier older brother. Their emissions have an even greater impact on our climate than carbon dioxide and they are a growing threat.

Unfortunately - not a lot of people have heard about this F-word - but Dave is hoping to change that. Getting rid of F-gases would be an easy step forward that would help prevent catastrophic climate change - and you can help.

Let Dave tell you how and sign our petition to ban the F-word: F-gases.

Indonesian authorities have ramped up intimidation tactics this week against Greenpeace activists who are trying to prevent forest and climate destruction in the heart of the Indonesian rainforest.

The Riau police have detained, interrogated and deported many of our activists as well as an Indian and an Italian journalist.

Please support our activists by writing to Indonesian President Yudhoyono.

These are a few of our favourite things: decorating coal mines, boarding nuclear shipments, stopping forest destruction - and blogging.

What do we blog about on our Climate Rescue blog?

The latest from our camp in the heart of the Indonesian rainforest, updates from activists who boarded a nuclear shipment bound for Finland, our banner hanging on Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia, three actions in Canada’s tar sands - and there is more to come as we get closer to the UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen.
